FOR THE RECORD: Images captured herein were caught upon a point-n-click as my husband says. I was kinda frustrated to be honest b/c I was unable to do what I would have done had I had a "real" camera. But, these are just a start and that other camera is all I had on hand at the time. I intend to beg my husband to let me borrow one of the "real" cameras'" here pretty soon to capture the changes of the season...
I LOVE SPRING!!!! Check out the Tulips that have sprung! Unfortunately, they are already on their way out for the season.... :(
(the blue flowery guys to the right are hyacinth and the purpley guys to the bottom are violets)

More tulips in front of my Peonies (or "peep-o-neese" as my hubby likes to say)! I am so excited that the Peonies have come up, I was sooo worried that I didn't winterize my garden well enough and that these of all would not come back. You don't understand, these flowers are probably older than ME, and have been in Cologne for "ever" and they are the one thing in the garden I didn't want to kill. Wow, that last sentence could be so misconstrued! By that I do not mean that I didn't want or like the other items in the garden I inherited. I just meant that I REALLY didn't want to kill these for unlike other items in the garden they are truly irreplaceable! Anything else I would most like able to replace. But trust me, flowers with this history do not get replaced over night! Anywho- Amazingly, as far as I know everything that was supposed to come back have and are continuing to do so! We even have lots of new things...stay tuned for more to come!
Oh yes, and those blue guys are more of the Hyacinth! In the lower left hand corner those light green little guys popping out are called "seed um"!

Blue guys, once again more Hyacinth, in front of budding tulips, in front of goldenrod. My hubby doesn't like the golden rod so much - but I do. It is so misunderstood! I am thinking of transplanting it to a better place in the yard next year but I am not quite sure where yet... my hubby would rather it go away. We will see about that!

MORE TULIPS!!! And Violets....and yep, some bits o' dandelions... they do exist!

Yep, more of the same. I think there's a rose bush in the background there... it will become more obvious over time, don't you worry!
I took a class on containers at the Mustard Seed in Chaska. I learned the key to great container making are the "three 'illers"... 1) Thriller 2)Filler and of course 3) Spiller!!! I am so proud of these, enjoy!

Thriller: Begonia
Filler: I forget, tag in the garage :)
Spiller: Viney thing....

This may look like the same pic...but there really is a slight (very slight) difference in camera angle. Really, I promise...

I LOVED THE SPIRALLY-GRASS!!! I found it to be very whimsical and appropriate with my happy daisy type wildflowers!

(P.S. - I absolutely love Picasa... notice how there are no dandelions in this pic... I promise you, it is NOT because I have no dandelions in my yard !!! ;) )
